Because of the conditions in which they live, many children living on the edge of the jungle suffer from scabies or they develop all kinds of skin diseases.
This program is essential for the children’s health.
They don’t have bathrooms or other conditions in order to maintain a clean space and good hygiene.
During the sanitation program, we give children baths (a first for many of them) and we also cut their hair short, because in Uganda all children going to school are required to wear short hair to avoid spreading lice to each other. Also, we teach them and make them aware of the importance of hygiene.

We constantly need soaps, clippers, towels, clean clothes because many of those who come have dirty and torn clothes.
