Why the Ugandan widows need help? Because without it, their chances for better days are almost impossible. Most of them fight daily for survival.
Many of these women who live near the jungle located at the margins of the Bwindi Impenetrable Park have no place to work, and without a job they struggle to survive and to raise their children. They live each day at God`s mercy. They are in so much need of our support, that is why we encourage you to help the widows with food and other staff necessary for their living.
Regarding the orphan children, studies show that almost half of the Uganda population are children with ages that range between 0 and 14. They are the most vulnerable. Thousands of them are orphans as their parents died of diverse illnesses or were murdered. No family, no support, no love. Few of them are raised by other relatives, such as uncles, aunts or grandparents, but most of them are living on their own, fighting each day to survive. They become beggars, others steal food from neighbors or start working from very young ages in agriculture or in stone quarries breaking stones by hand.
